According to QPAREB’s January Residential Real Estate Market Statistics, the total sales of houses in southshore increased 17% with the sales volume increased 39% in January 2021 compared with the same month in 2020, while the new listing decreased 11% . By property category, the average selling time of single-family-home dropped from 69 days to 45 days, indicating that residents in southshore have  higher expectations on home appreciation.
Among the cities in southshore, the most eye-catching data comes from La Prairie, Candiac, and Brossard. The sales of the 4th quarter 2020 increased 53% in La Prairie compared with the same quarter in 2019, and sales almost doubled (93% increase) in the 4th quarter in 2020 reaching 58,533 thousand. In Candiac, The sales of the 4th quarter in 2020 increased 37%, with a volume of 76,220 thousand, indicating a 68% of increase of volume.
